First Steps
‘First Steps’ is an “art – life” project about the experiences of fitting into society in the most ‘natural’ way. It follows the different attempts of an outsider to belong to the new environments that he gets involved in, trying to become “one of them”.
The name of the project was taken from a guide-book for new parents. It is a documentary project composed of several different situations: going hunting with groups of hunters, singing with a choir in church, taking care of a baby and more. All the scenes took place in the Netherlands.
